How to use the age calculator
- Choose whether your birth date is Gregorian or Hijri.
- Pick the day and month, and type the year.
- The age is calculated for today. To check an age on another date, change Age on this date.
You’ll see your age in years, months and days, your age in Hijri years, the day of the week you were born, your Hijri birth date, the total days and weeks you’ve lived, and the days until your next birthday.
How age is counted
The calculator counts full years first, then full months, then the remaining days. If a month is shorter than your birth day, a month is complete on the last day of that month.
For example, someone born on 15 May 1990 is 36 years, 4 months and 12 days old on 27 September 2026, which is 13,284 days.
Hijri age and Gregorian age
Because a Hijri year has 354 or 355 days, your age in Hijri years is higher than your Gregorian age, and the gap grows by about one year every 33 years. Hijri age is still used in some official and religious contexts.
