How to use it

  1. Enter the weight of your gold and choose its karat. Add a row for each karat you own.
  2. Choose the nisab you follow: 85 g or 92 g.
  3. Add today’s 24k price per gram to see the zakat in riyals.

Example

100 g of 21k and 40 g of 18k gold:

  • 100 × 21 ÷ 24 = 87.5 g pure
  • 40 × 18 ÷ 24 = 30 g pure
  • Total 117.5 g of pure gold, above the nisab
  • Zakat: 2.5% × 117.5 = 2.94 g, or 1,175 SAR at 400 SAR a gram
