How to use the calculator
- Enter your high school percentage and your Qudurat and Tahsili scores, each out of 100.
- Choose a common set of weights, or type the weights your university publishes. The weights must add up to 100%.
- Your weighted percentage appears straight away, with how much each score contributes.
The formula
Weighted percentage = (high school × its weight) + (Qudurat × its weight) + (Tahsili × its weight)
Example with 30% high school, 30% Qudurat and 40% Tahsili, and scores of 90, 85 and 80:
(90 × 0.30) + (85 × 0.30) + (80 × 0.40) = 27 + 25.5 + 32 = 84.5%
Common weights
| High school | Qudurat | Tahsili | Often used for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 30% | 30% | 40% | Science and health majors at many universities |
| 40% | 30% | 30% | Some universities and majors |
| 50% | 50% | — | Majors that don’t require Tahsili |
These are common examples only. Weights differ between universities and majors and can change each year, so check your university’s admission guide before you apply.
Tips
- A higher Tahsili score often matters most for science and health majors, because it usually carries the biggest weight.
- If you can retake Qudurat or Tahsili, use the calculator to see how much a higher score would raise your weighted percentage.
