Gulf currency converter: common questions

How many Saudi riyals is one US dollar?

3.75 riyals. The Saudi Central Bank has fixed the riyal at 3.75 to the dollar since 1986, so 100 riyals is about 26.67 dollars.

How many riyals is one UAE dirham?

About 1.0211 riyals, because both currencies are pegged to the dollar: 3.75 riyals and 3.6725 dirhams per dollar. 1,000 dirhams is about 1,021.10 riyals.

Why isn’t the Kuwaiti dinar included?

The Kuwaiti dinar is tied to a basket of currencies, so its rate moves every day. This converter only uses rates that are fixed.

Will my bank give me exactly this rate?

Not quite. Banks, exchange shops and card payments add a margin or a fee, so the amount you get is usually slightly lower.
