Crop image: common questions

How do I crop a photo to a square?

Choose Square 1:1, drag the box over the part you want to keep, then tap Download cropped image.

What size is the passport 4×6 shape?

It keeps the 2:3 proportions of a 4 × 6 cm photo, which is used for many ID and passport photos. Always check the exact size and background your application asks for.

Does cropping reduce quality?

No. The cropped area keeps the original image's full resolution. Only the parts outside the box are removed.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Cropping happens in your browser, so the image never leaves your device.
