Arabic text cleaner: common questions

Why remove tashkeel?

Diacritics can stop searches and comparisons from matching, and some apps display them badly.

Why unify alef forms?

People type أ, إ, آ and ا differently, so unifying them makes searching and sorting names consistent.

Does it correct spelling?

No. Options such as final ى → ي are for consistency in data, not correct spelling.
