Tools for this guide

The formula

Weighted % = (high school × its weight) + (Qudurat × its weight) + (Tahsili × its weight)

The weights add up to 100%.

Worked example

High school 95%, Qudurat 80, Tahsili 85:

Weights (school / Qudurat / Tahsili) Calculation Weighted %
30 / 30 / 40 28.5 + 24 + 34 86.5
40 / 30 / 30 38 + 24 + 25.5 87.5

The same student gets a different result depending on the weights, so always use the weights of the program you’re applying to.

Tips

  • Find the weights in each university’s admission guide; they can differ between programs at the same university.
  • Focus where the weight is highest. If Tahsili counts 40%, a few extra Tahsili points move your score more.
  • Some programs also set minimum scores for each part, not just the weighted total.

Work out yours with the weighted percentage calculator. At university, track your grades with the GPA calculator.

Questions people ask

What is the weighted percentage?

A single score universities use for admission, combining your high school grade, the General Aptitude Test (Qudurat) and the Achievement Test (Tahsili), each with its own weight.

What weights do universities use?

Each university and program sets its own, such as 30% high school, 30% Qudurat and 40% Tahsili. Check the admission guide for the program you want.

Which score matters most?

Whichever has the biggest weight in your target program. With 30/30/40, each Tahsili point counts more than a high school point.
